Biography
Neil Osheroff received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Northwestern University in 1979 followed by a Helen Hay Whitney Foundation postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry, Stanford University School of Medicine. He currently is Professor of Biochemistry and Medicine in the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and holds the John G. Coniglio Chair in Biochemistry. He directs the Academy for Excellence in Education, spent a combined 27 years on the editorial boards of The Journal of Biological Chemistry and Biochemistry, chaired the NCI-I “Transition to Independence†study section, and has authored over 250 scientific and educational articles.
